About Throughline Design

I'm Kristin Erhard, the designer and maker behind Throughline Design. Each piece is made in my studio in the Blue Ridge Mountains near Asheville, North Carolina.

I've been making jewelry for as long as I can remember. As a child, I loved creating pieces for friends and family. Later, I worked in ceramic sculpture and encaustic painting, experiences that continue to influence my approach to design.

I create small-batch jewelry using brass, vintage English metals, quartz, pearl, and other carefully chosen materials to make pieces that are easy to wear and love.

 

The throughline, or theme that ties all of my work together is a love of the creative process, from the first idea to the finished piece.

All ear wires are nickel- and lead-free raw brass unless otherwise noted as 18k gold-plated brass, stainless steel or sterling silver.
